TIMEPORARY CLOCK: ONE DAY ONE TIME

Our routine is full of hidden beauty if we watch our surrounding carefully and differently. For examples, falling down sand from a pile of a sand, roughly broken concrete piece, light and shadow projected on a wrinkled silk or a rusted metal with beautiful color and pattern. They are beautiful by themselves and have enough value in it. However they only exist in a short moment or too rough to be something. That is why we often try to capture this temporary beauty in the photos. Because in the photography, time doesn’t flow and stay still forever. Studio OSOH focused on this feature of photography and tried to make a product out of photo.

[Timeporary clock] is a photographic clock which is made of these temporary objects or moment which are found and selected in studio osoh's routine life. The found objects which used to have only temporary value and beauty obtain permanence by being captured in our photo, and the value as an object which was blurred by becoming two dimensional photo, last as a part of clock monuments in the photo.

흘러내리는 흙 더미, 구겨진 천 위로 아름답게 떨어지는 빛과 그림자, 부서진 콘크리트 조각, 혹은 제멋대로의 색과 모양으로 녹슬어 있는 철제처럼 우리가 살아가는 일상 속에는 무엇인가가 되기에는 너무나도 순간적이거나 거친, 하지만 자세히 들여다 보면 그 자체로도 충분한 아름다움을 가지고 있는 것들이 수 없이 존재한다.

[One day one time]은 osoh가 일상을 보내며 발견한 이러 한 아름다운 것 들을 이용하여 그것의 순간성을 지속시켜줄 시계라는 오브젝트로 만드는 프로젝트이다. 순간이라는 시간 속에서만 가치를 가지고 있던 ‘어떠한 것’들이 사진이 됨으로 인해 영속성을 획득하고, 사진이라는 매체의 평면성으로 잃을 수 있었던 오브젝트로서의 가치는 다시 시계를 받쳐주는 시계탑으로써 지속하게 된다.
